Agile Competency Workshop
Join Mike Silverman, Head of the Corporate IT PMO at SunGard,  and Jim Hannon, Director of PMO and Implementations at SunGard, for an afternoon workshop on Agile implementation in a corporate setting.
The company has over 12,000 employees and roughly 4,000 people in a development role. The resources are spread over the globe. The presenters are one of three leads for this effort. The trio has created a sub group under the corporate CTO to create and execute the transformation.
The transformation has been a fascinating exercise in how the modern day PM can enhance and extend the skills they need to take the forefront in the organization. Following topics are covered:
- The PMO and Agile can successfully co-exist
- The retooled PM in the new agile organization
- The need for the PM to take the lead in planning the training, setting up pilot groups and execution of Agile
- The crucial need for the new PM to play a crucial rule in overseeing agile and the coordination between groups and strategy
