PMiP Annual Award

Project Management Education DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD is given to individuals and/or organizations.

Award was established in 2008  and is executed by the Administrative Sciences Faculty membership and the PMiP Conference Steering Committee annually. The plaque recognizes individuals who  have served their organization with distinction and made important contributions to enhance the discipline of project management  promoting research and education.

This award is given annually by the Dean to an entity or individual that helps expands the frontiers of knowledge in the discipline of project management.

Letters of support may be submitted by any member of the Boston University community, or external persons with knowledge of a candidate’s service to the discipline of project management.

Current members of the Boston University faculty must nominate a member outside of the BU community for this award.

The past PMiP award members include GE (Center of Excellence in PM group), PCG (PM Group), City of Boston (PM Group), UTC (Director of HR) and PMI (Jim Snyder),  GAC (John Cable).

Instructions:

1. A current BU faculty member or member of the PMiP steering committee must nominate the candidate by completing a form.

2. That same faculty member must arrange for letters of recommendation to be sent to the PMiP steering committee.

3. All candidates must have three (3) letters of support to be considered by the committee.

4. Nominations and letters must be submitted by March 31, of each year. The winners will be announced mid-April.

The award ceremony will be at PMiP Conference in May of each year, on the day before Boston University MET Convocation at the Photonics auditorium.

Although not required, participants are requested to give a 20 minute keynote talk.
